The Nervous System

πŸ”¦*Understanding the nervous system using a flashlight.*

Our nervous system is an input output based system, meaning that we have energy inside of us that responds differently, creating different outputs, based on the inputs it receives.

πŸ”¦A flashlight lights up when it receives the new input of somebody flicking on the switch. This creates a new output of a beam of light.

πŸ”¦The nervous system is responding to billions of inputs 24 hours a day and generates outputs based on the inputs it receives. When the inputs become too intense or threatening, as perceived by the nervous system, it goes into threat mode. 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

πŸ”¦πŸš¨When the nervous system is threatened, it creates outputs, like pain, anxiety, information or neuroticism (mental health issues). When these outputs become problematic in a persons life, they seek healthcare provider, which helps reduce the intensity of the output by addressing the output itself.

πŸ”¦ This is like putting a cloth in front of a beam of light to turn it off instead of turning it off with the switch. Although this may reduce the intensity of how we see the light, the light is still on. Addressing the output from the nervous system, commonly known as the symptom of the problem, does very little to change, or heal the problem in body at the level of the nervous system.

πŸ”¦Neuro-Somatic Intelligence creates new positive inputs at the level of the nervous system, healing trauma and deficiencies, which automatically change the outputs.

πŸ”¦The moral of this story? It is much more effective to address the nervous system at the level of the inputs than it is to focus on the outputs.
